Evaluation of the non-linearity of NA808 in liver not reflected in plasma using a rat pharmacokinetic study and PBPK modelling.
(PubMed, Xenobiotica)
- "The P ratio decreased with increasing NA808 concentration.PBPK modelling was constructed to display the blood and liver concentration time profile and biliary excretion of NA808. This model analysis was able to reproduce the pharmacokinetics in rats; the degree of increase in the liver exposure from 2 to 20 mg/kg was more than dose-proportional and was greater than the increase in the blood exposure due to saturation of efflux transporters. In drug development, to avoid unexpected toxicity in tissues, it is important to consider the potential for tissue non-linearity with linear plasma exposure based on pre-clinical data and PBPK modelling."

Novel oral SPT inhibitor CH5169356 inhibits hepatic stellate cell activation and ameliorates hepatic fibrosis in mouse models of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
(PubMed, Pharmacol Res Perspect)
- "Effects on sphingolipid metabolism and HSC activation marker genes by NA808, a SPT inhibitor, were evaluated in an immortalized HSC cell line (E14C12)...CH5169356 was also evaluated in a Stelic animal model (STAM), a NASH mouse model induced through a different mechanism than that of the Ath+HF model, and showed a significant anti-fibrotic effect. In conclusion, CH5169356 could inhibit the progression of hepatic fibrosis in the pathogenesis of NASH by suppressing HSC activation, suggesting that CH5169356 would be a potential oral NASH therapeutic agent."

Time-course gene expression profiling data of Triticum aestivum treated by supercritical CO garlic extract encapsulated in nanoscale liposomes.
(PubMed, Data Brief)
- "Raw data such as Illumina 85bp single-end read sequences and reconstructed transcripts were deposited in the NCBI SRA and TSA databases under the BioProject PRJNA808851. Functional annotation of transcripts and time-course expression data are presented here to support gene expression analysis experiments."

A Tetragenococcus halophilus human gut isolate.
(PubMed, Curr Res Microb Sci)
- "Using the E-test strips, the MIC was assessed for T. halophilus strain CSURQ6002: rifampicin (MIC at 0.002 μg/mL), benzylpenicillin (MIC at 0.094 μg/mL), amoxicillin (MIC at 0.5 μg/mL), erythromycin (MIC at 2 μg/mL), clindamycin (MIC at 4 μg/mL), and vancomycin (MIC at 8 μg/mL). However, this strain showed a MIC up to 256 μg/mL for ciprofloxacin, fosfomycin, doxycyclin, imipenem, and colistin. In-silico profiling derived from whole genome sequencing (NCBI accession number: PRJNA780809), was confirmed. This discovery suggested that T. halophilus was part of the human digestive microbiota and that its potential role on human health should be considered."

Quality Assurance in Cataract and Lens Surgery with Special Consideration of Subjective Patient Reported Outcome Measures and Clinical Reported Outcome Measures.
(PubMed, Klin Monbl Augenheilkd)
- "There is a high rate of patient satisfaction with the outcome of the intervention. New questionnaires are needed for new IOLs. The Catquest-9SF is from 2009. Accordingly, revisions and new validation is necessary. Beyond that, only automatic data transfer will reduce the amount of work involved in data input."

Gene co-expression network analysis to identify critical modules and candidate genes of drought-resistance in wheat.
(PubMed, PLoS One)
- "Analyzing the response of wheat to drought stress during different growth stages, we have detected three modules and 12 hub genes that are associated with drought resistance mechanisms, and five of those genes are newly identified for drought resistance. The references provided by these modules will promote the understanding of the drought-resistance mechanism. In addition, the candidate genes can be used as a basis of transgenic or molecular marker-assisted selection for improving the drought resistance and increasing the yields of wheat."

Personal Exposure Estimates via Portable and Wireless Sensing and Reporting of Particulate Pollution.
(PubMed, Int J Environ Res Public Health)
- "The air sensors consisted of a Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F dust sensor interfaced to an Arduino Uno R3, and a FONA808 3G communications module...The construction of the dust sensors and data collected from this research enhance the current research by describing an open-source concept and providing initial measurements. In principle, sensors can be massively multiplexed and used to generate real-time maps of particulate matter around a given location."

A serine palmitoyltransferase inhibitor inhibits hepatitis C virus replication in human hepatocytes
(Gastroenterology)
- PMID: 23791700; "NA808 prevented HCV replication via non-competitive inhibition of SPT....NA808 prevented replication of all HCV genotypes tested in mice with humanized livers. Intravenous NA808 significantly reduced viral load in the mice and had synergistic effects with PEG-IFN and HCV polymerase and protease inhibitors."
