Integrative profiling of t-follicular helper cells heterogeneity and tumor microenvironment signatures in angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma (ASH 2025) - "CD40 single immunostaining was conducted in 200 additional cases,including other T-cell lymphomas and autoimmune disorders, and confirmed that while CD40-drivenimmune activation is a hallmark of AITL, elevated CD40 expression was also observed in a subset of otherT-cell lymphomas...The consistent overexpression of CD40 across these niches suggests it could serve as abiomarker for stratifying microenvironmental contexts and monitoring therapeutic responses. Whilethese findings provide preliminary insight into the cellular and spatial heterogeneity of AITL, furtherstudies in larger patient cohorts are necessary to confirm these observations and to explore thefeasibility of targeting the CD40-CD40L axis or related pathways as part of future therapeutic strategies."
