Endocannabinoids Block Headache and Anxiety Comorbidity via Two-Pronged Anterior Insular Projections.
(PubMed, Research (Wash D C))
- "Here, we found that chronic isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) injections induce c-fos expression in the anterior insula (AI), prelimbic cortex (PrL), and oval nucleus of the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (ovBNST), suggesting their contributions to headache and anxiety comorbidity...A systemic application of eCB degradation enzyme inhibitors blocks chronic ISDN-induced headache and anxiety comorbidity, which are separately blocked by CB1R antagonist application in PrLs and ovBNSTs. Our findings reveal divergent counteracting effects of elevated eCB signaling in vAI-PrL and dAI-ovBNST circuits on comorbid headache and anxiety."

A QSPR study of coronary artery disease drugs using eccentricity-based indices.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "This study advances QSPR modeling by using eccentricity-based graphical invariants, specifically designed to enhance the predictive accuracy for physicochemical properties of drugs used to treat coronary artery disease, including atorvastatin, simvastatin, rosuvastatin, aspirin, clopidogrel, metoprolol, atenolol, enalapril, lisinopril, amlodipine, diltiazem, nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, ranolazine, gemfibrozil, and fenofibrate. The experimental values were compared with forecasted data, revealing a strong correlation between them. This demonstrates the reliability of our regression models in assessing these vital physicochemical parameters."

Ultrasound-Visualized Cuproptosis in Glioblastoma via Endogenous Copper Sequestration and Nitric Oxide-Gas Controlled Release Using a Programmable Nanoliposomal Platform.
(PubMed, ACS Nano)
- "Modularly assembled from tumor-targeting sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), GSH-responsive nitric oxide (NO) prodrug isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN), and copper-chelator disulfiram (DSF), this DSF/S1P/ISDN-Lipos first facilitates blood-brain tumor barrier traversal and glioblastoma-specific accumulation. In vivo, DSF/S1P/ISDN-Lipos demonstrated favorable biosafety and significantly suppressed orthotopic glioblastoma growth. This work presents a theranostic approach for metal homeostasis regulation, where gas therapy synergizes with endogenous metallo-reprogramming to overcome adaptive resistance."

Ventricular fibrillation due to coronary vasospasm triggered by hyperventilation in a patient with panic disorder: case report.
(PubMed, Eur Heart J Case Rep)
- "Medication with a calcium channel blocker (nifedipine 40 mg per day), nitrate (isosorbide dinitrate 40 mg per day), and statin (rosuvastatin 20 mg per day) was initiated. Herein, ventricular fibrillation was likely caused by coronary spasm induced by hyperventilation during the panic attack. Regarding the management of patients with panic disorder who present with chest pain, clinicians should carefully assess the symptoms and consider hyperventilation-induced coronary spasm as a differential diagnosis."

Isosorbide Nitrate-Assisted Microcatheter Navigation for Successful Embolization of a Foramen Magnum Dural Arteriovenous Fistula.
(PubMed, Cureus)
- "Follow-up angiography at three months confirmed complete obliteration of the fistula, and the patient remained neurologically intact, with no perioperative or delayed complications. This case highlights the potential utility of intra-arterial vasodilators, such as isosorbide dinitrate, in overcoming anatomical challenges during transarterial embolization and suggests their broader applicability in complex neuroendovascular procedures."

Monomorphic sustained right ventricular outflow tract tachycardia in pregnancy with favorable outcomes: a case report.
(PubMed, J Med Case Rep)
- "Monomorphic sustained right ventricular outflow tract tachycardia in pregnancy is always attributed to a normal physiology of pregnancy. Despite there being no evidence from clinical trials, it can be managed with available antiarrhythmic drugs with favorable outcomes. This case underscores the importance of thoroughly evaluating all pregnant women who present with palpitation to exclude cardiac causes and provide prompt management."

(Euroanaesthesia 2025)
- "Clinical improvement occurred after administration of a bolus of furosemide, morphine, and hydrocortisone, along with an infusion of isosorbide dinitrate. Recommendations were provided to ensure safety in future transfusions. This case highlights the importance of considering a broad differential diagnosis for acute hypertensive pulmonary edema after transfusion. Vocal Cord Paralysis as an Insidious Onset of Cardiogenic Shock
(ATS 2025)
- "The electronic medical record showed that the patient was on isosorbide dinitrate and ranolazine for multiple anginal episodes prior to this hospitalization and may have been a reason for a lack of chest pain with an atypical presentation of a coronary artery syndrome. There are no reported cases of Ortner Syndrome being the initial finding of a patient with cardiogenic shock. This case serves as an example of the importance of having a broad differential diagnosis for physical exam findings that may seem typical or out of place."

INTRACTABLE SHOCK AND ARREST FROM SUDDEN NATIVE AND GRAFT CORONARY VASOSPASM POST-CABG - Nahush Bansal
(ACC 2025)
- "Angiography showed vasospasm in the native left anterior descending (LAD) artery and the left internal mammary artery (LIMA) graft, which responded to intracoronary nitroglycerin...By day six, the Impella was removed, and diuretic therapy with mannitol and furosemide was initiated. The patient was discharged in a stable condition on day ten on isosorbide dinitrate, metoprolol, statin, aspirin, and clopidogrel.Decision-making: Coronary vasospasm following CABG is typically identified by ST-segment changes or angina... Coronary vasospasm post-CABG can follow a malignant course, underscoring the importance of early recognition and prompt intervention.
