A head-to-head comparison of two topical anti-inflammatory treatments, crisaborole and betamethasone valerate, reveals marked differences in their effects on the microstructure of the skin (WCD 2023) - P2 | "BMV treatment, compared to CRB, was associated with broad changes to the superficial dermal vasculature and collagen matrix that may foreshow the development of clinical adverse effects including striae and telangiectasia. Crisaborole may therefore be more suitable for longer-term and proactive-based treatment strategies where the risks of TCS-induced adverse effects are greatest"
