Lung-Targeted mRNA-LNP Delivery of SOX2 Bioprotac: A Comprehensive Strategy for LUAD, LUSC, and SCLC in Monotherapy and Combination Settings
(IASLC-WCLC 2026)
- "While Osimertinib monotherapy resulted in tumor relapse in EGFR-mutant LUAD model, the combination with SOX2 bioPROTAC successfully prevented recurrence, demonstrating complete eradication of CSCs. Conclusions : Our bioPROTAC platform converges to make SOX2, once considered undruggable, into a clinically viable therapeutic target. Our novel SOX2 bioPROTAC exerts superior anti-tumor efficacy through multi-faceted mechanisms, positioning them as optimal therapeutic candidates for patients who face challenges in treatment due to the limitations of existing therapies."

Genexine…announced that Jaehyun Choi, Ph.D., CEO and Head of R&D, presented new preclinical data for GX-BP1, the company’s SOX2-targeting bioPROTAC, at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC)
(Businesswire)
- "In an HCC827 EGFR-mutant lung cancer xenograft model, osimertinib initially produced strong tumor control, but tumors began to regrow after treatment ended at day 20. The combination of osimertinib and Dato-DXd delayed regrowth, but tumors eventually progressed from day 40 and showed significant volume after day 70. In contrast, osimertinib plus GX-BP1 combination therapy maintained durable tumor control for more than 100 days, with no substantial tumor regrowth observed during the study period. Most notably, the triple combination of GX-BP1, osimertinib and Dato-DXd achieved complete responses in all six animals (6/6 CR) with no regrowth observed."

Genexine Advances First In Class SOX2 Targeting BioPROTAC GX BP1 With Strong Preclinical Anti Tumour Data
(BioPharma APAC)
- "Preclinical data demonstrated strong anti-tumor activity across multiple models. GX-BP1 monotherapy achieved approximately 70% tumor growth inhibition (TGI), confirming meaningful standalone efficacy...In combination settings, GX-BP1 restored sensitivity in chemotherapy-resistant models and enhanced the efficacy of EGFR-targeted therapies, including osimertinib, by suppressing SOX2-driven resistance mechanisms...Notably, the combination of GX-BP1 with carboplatin and paclitaxel showed a clear dose-dependent response, achieving 87% to 96% TGI, with near-complete tumor growth suppression at higher doses. In addition, while tumor regrowth was observed in the osimertinib monotherapy group, the combination of GX-BP1 with osimertinib completely prevented tumor relapse, accompanied by effective elimination of cancer stem cell populations."

Novel SOX2-targeting bioPROTACs as multi-faceted anti-tumor agents overcoming resistance to standard therapies in lung cancers
(AACR 2026)
- "Finally, we developed the clinically applicable drug product by utilizing a lung-targeted lipid nanoparticle (LNP), and confirmed its potent anti-tumor efficacy upon intravenous injection into an orthotopic lung cancer model. Taken together, our novel SOX2 bioPROTACs exert superior anti-tumor efficacy through multi-faceted mechanisms, positioning them as optimal therapeutic candidates for patients who face challenges in treatment due to the limitations of existing therapies."
