Attenuation of hepatitis A antibody after immunization with hepatitis A vaccine (Aimmugen) in people living with HIV.
(PubMed, Hepatol Res)
- "Anti-HA-IgG titers of vaccinated MSM-LWHIV may be attenuated; thus, additional immunizations should be considered."

Long-term durability of immune response to hepatitis A vaccination among people living with HIV
(EACS 2023)
- "Conclusions : Lower anti-HAV titer and heavy alcohol consumption are associated with earlier loss of immune response to HAV. Repeat assessment after achieving a primary response to HAV is warranted, especially in those with lower anti-HAV titers."

Impact of frequency and duration of freeze-dried inactivated tissue culture hepatitis A vaccine (Aimmugen®) vaccination on antibody titers; a japanese cross-sectional study.
(PubMed, Vaccine)
- "Three doses of Aimmugen® are efficacious, but four or more doses induce more robust and sustained antibody production. Additionally, four or more doses may be effective when there is a need to ensure long-term immunity or risk of prolonged exposure."

Delaying the third dose of Japanese aluminum-free hepatitis A vaccine Aimmugen elicits effective immune responses against hepatitis A in adults.
(PubMed, Vaccine)
- "Inactivated aluminum-adsorbed hepatitis A vaccines such as Havrix, Vaqta, and Avaxim are commonly used worldwide. Registered 03 April 2014. https://center6.umin.ac.jp/cgi-bin/ctr/ctr_view_reg.cgi?recptno=R000015906."

Predictors associated with a better response to the Japanese aluminum-free hepatitis A vaccine, Aimmugen , for people living with HIV.
(PubMed, Hepatol Res)
- "Three-dose of Aimmugen for MSM-LWHIV was effective while two-dose was less effective compared to non-HIV-infected people. People-LWHIV with shorter duration of ART and lesser CD4 cell count achieved lower titers of anti-HA-IgG and might require an additional vaccination."

Anaphylaxis to simultaneous administration of inactivated tissue culture hepatitis A vaccine and purified chick embryo cell rabies vaccine after multiple doses.
(PubMed, BMJ Case Rep)
- "Twenty cases of anaphylaxis due to PCECV (RabAvert) have been reported from 1997 to 2005 in USA, whereas 2 cases have been reported from 2006 to 2016. We report a case of anaphylaxis after multiple vaccinations in a 24-year-old man with ulcerative colitis, previous medical history of tonsillectomy for IgA nephropathy and no history of allergies."

[VIRTUAL] Effectiveness of hepatitis A vaccination in human immunodeficiency virus-infected men who have sex with men during an outbreak of hepatitis A in Osaka, Japan
(EASL-ILC-I 2020)
- "This study indicated that three doses of Aimmugen achieved good immune response against HAV in HIV-infected MSM patients and that high initial CD4 lymphocyte count can be a predictive factor for HAV seroconversion."
