Complete genome sequences and genomic characterization of five plasmids harbored by environmentally persistent Cronobacter sakazakii strains ST83 H322 and ST64 GK1025B obtained from powdered infant formula manufacturing facilities.
(PubMed, Gut Pathog)
- "These data provide high resolution information on C. sakazakii genomes and emphasizes the need for furthering surveillance studies to link genotype to phenotype of strains from previous investigations. These results provide baseline data necessary for future in-depth investigations of C. sakazakii that colonize PIF manufacturing facility settings and genomic analyses of these two C. sakazakii strains and five associated plasmids will contribute to a better understanding of this pathogen's survival and persistence within various "built environments" like PIF manufacturing facilities."

New global insights on the regulation of the biphasic life cycle and virulence via ClpP-dependent proteolysis in Legionella pneumophila.
(PubMed, Mol Cell Proteomics)
- "We further observed that ClpP-dependent proteolysis is required to monitor the abundance of fatty acid biosynthesis-related protein Lpg0102/Lpg0361/Lpg0362 and SpoT for the normal regulation of L. pneumophila differentiation...Furthermore, the ClpP-dependent proteolysis of T4BSS and effector proteins at a specific phase of the life cycle is essential for bacterial pathogenesis. Therefore, our findings provide novel insights on ClpP-dependent proteolysis, which spans a broad physiological spectrum involving key metabolic pathways that regulate the transition of the biphasic life cycle and bacterial virulence of L. pneumophila, facilitating adaptation to aquatic and intracellular niches."

Expression Characterization of Flavonoid Biosynthetic Pathway Genes and Transcription Factors in Peanut Under Water Deficit Conditions.
(PubMed, Front Plant Sci)
- "Six peanut varieties (BARD479, BARI2011, BARI2000, GOLDEN, PG1102, and PG1265) having variable responses against drought stress have been selected...Correlational analysis between the expression of TFs related to the biosynthesis of flavonoids and the accumulation of phenolics, flavonols, and anthocyanins indicated coregulation of flavonoid synthesis by TFs under water deficit conditions in peanut. This study would provide insight into the role of flavonoid biosynthetic pathway in drought response in peanut and would aid to develop drought-tolerant varieties of peanut."

A Water-Soluble Extract from Actinidia arguta (PG102) Can Inhibit Kidney Fibrosis
(KIDNEY WEEK 2019)
- "In vitro experiment, human kidney proximal tubular cells treated with TGF-β and PG102 showed significantly decreased protein expression of α-smooth muscle actin (47.8% of control), and phospho-p38 (51.5% of control). Conclusion PG102 attenuates kidney fibrosis in the unilateral ureteral obstruction mice model and TGF-β-treated human kidney proximal tubular cells, p38 MAPK pathway is inhibited after treatment of PG102."

PG102 Upregulates IL-37 through p38, ERK, and Smad3 Pathways in HaCaT Keratinocytes.
(PubMed, Mediators Inflamm)
- "PG102 also promoted colocalization of phospho-Smad3 and IL-37. Our results suggest that IL-37 inhibits the expression of AMPs and that PG102 upregulates IL-37 through p38, ERK, and Smad3 pathways in HaCaT cells."
