Insecticide-induced sublethal effect in the fall armyworm is mediated by miR-9993/miR-2a-3p - FPPS/JHAMT - JH molecular module. (PubMed, Pestic Biochem Physiol) - "Furthermore, it was confirmed by small RNA sequencing, dual luciferase analysis and agomir-miRNA injection, miR-9993 and miR-2a-3p that it could bind FPPS and JHAMT respectively, and regulated the expression level of FPPS and JHAMT to affect the titer of JH, thus changing the phenotype of S. frugiperda. Collectively, these results provide insights into the mechanism of insecticide regulation of sublethal effects of pests, expand our understanding of development-related miRNAs, and reveal key factors involved in JH signaling pathways that support sublethal effects of insecticides."

Potential liquid biopsy markers of exosomal microRNAs in renal interstitial fibrosis blood and urine. (PubMed, Indian J Pathol Microbiol) - "Urine is a better sample for RIF exo-miRNA detection than blood. Urinary exosomal hsa-miR-143-3p_R+1, hsa-miR-183-5p, hsa-miR-126-3p, mmu-miR-5106_R-4_1ss1AG, hsa-miR-126-5p, and hsa-miR-199b-3p_R-1 are novel liquid biopsy markers for RIF. These DEexo-miRNA may be associated with the occurrence and development of RIF and may participate in specific biological processes by regulating the expression of their target mRNA. Further research may require exploring the specific functions and mechanisms of these miRNAs in RIF, as well as whether they can serve as diagnostic or therapeutic targets for RIF."

Screening of Drosophila microRNA-degradation sequences reveals Argonaute1 mRNA's role in regulating miR-999. (PubMed, Nat Commun) - "CRISPR-Cas9 knockout of the AGO1 trigger in S2 cells and in Drosophila specifically elevates miR-999, with concurrent repression of the miR-999 targets.
