AZD6750, a CD8α-guided IL-2 molecule, enhances hepatitis B virus-specific CD8+ T-cell activation and function (EASL 2026) - "AZD6750 preferentially expands and activates CD8+ T cells, including HBV-specific subsets, from patients with chronic hepatitis B and enhances antigen-specific cytolysis of target cells. These findings support further investigation of AZD6750 as a potential immunotherapy aimed at advancing toward functional cure for chronic hepatitis B."

Phase I/II study of AZD6750, a CD8-guided interleukin-2 agent, alone and in combination with other anti-cancer agents in participants with advanced or metastatic solid tumors. (ASCO 2026) - P1/2 | " This first-in-human, open-label, phase I/II, multicenter clinical trial is evaluating AZD6750 as monotherapy (Module 1, dose escalation) and combined with rilvegostomig (Module 2) in patients with selected locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors. Secondary endpoints include pharmacodynamics (PD-L1), immunogenicity (anti-drug antibodies), and pharmacokinetics. The study is actively recruiting globally, with 3 patients enrolled as of December 2025."

AZD6750, a CD8α-guided IL-2 immunocytokine effectively combines with rilvegostomig, a PD-1/TIGIT bispecific antibody, to enhance endogenous immunity (AACR 2026) - P1/2 | "Background: AZD6750 is a CD8α-guided IL-2 immunocytokine engineered to enhance the therapeutic index of IL‑2 by reducing aldesleukin‑associated toxicities, while preserving the efficacy that has been compromised with recent clinical IL‑2 mutein strategies. These preclinical data demonstrate that AZD6750 combined with rilvegostomig can enhance anti-tumor immune responses, leading to greater tumor cell killing. AZD6750: Design and Efficacy of a CD8-guided IL-2 That Enhances CD8 T Cell Function (SITC 2025) - "This approach potentially limits the side effects of Aldesleukin, typically attributed to the broad effects of IL-2R signalling, which should result in a safer, more effective IL-2 that has the potential to provide benefit to larger numbers of patients.Methods In vitro, proliferation of human PBMCs and antigen-specific tumor cytolysis were evaluated after treatment with AZD6750, Aldesleukin or an unguided-IL-2 mutein. Studies were performed in accordance with the UK Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and the EU Directive 86/609, under a UK Home Office Project License, using guidelines outlined by Workman and colleagues and the UKCCR guidance. All patient samples were obtained with written informed consent and studies were conducted in accordance with recognized ethical guidelines (Declaration of Helsinki) and were approved by the East of England - Cambridge East Research Ethics Committee (HTA license number 12109)."
