Neuronal Functional Efficacy of Spherical Nucleic Acids Targeting SCN9A (Neuroscience 2022) - "Strong genetic evidence links the modulation of Nav1.7 to chronic pain conditions. Here, we demonstrate evidence that SCN9A-SNAs potently reduce SCN9A mRNA in human neuronal cultures. Additionally, SCN9A-SNAs produced long-term inhibition of neuronal signaling, suggesting SNAs could produce long-term relief of chronic pain."
