Asteatotic dermatitis induced by Pazopanib followed by Nivolumab in a patient with renal cancer
(EADV 2024)
- "We conducted treatment with Ceftriaxon, Methylprednisolone, Chloropyramine hydrochloride, Gentamycin cream, Flumetasone pivalate/Clioquinol ung., Potassium permanganate baths and emollients. The algorithm for management of patients with skin toxicity includes stop of the oncological therapy, treatment of the toxicity and then restart of the therapy. If the toxicity reappears the oncological therapy must be stopped, again treatment of the toxicity and the therapy must be switched to the next therapeutic line according to the guideline for the oncological disease. Our case is an example of a patient with Asteatotic dermatitis induced by Pazopanib followed by Nivolumab for treatment of renal cancer."

Suprastin (Chloropyramine) Causes Proarrhythmic Deterioration of Excitation Conduction, Depolarization and Potentiates Adrenergic Automaticity in the Pulmonary Veins Myocardium.
(PubMed, Bull Exp Biol Med)
- "In presence of epinephrine, chloropyramine induced spontaneous automaticity in the PV and could not be suppressed by atrial pacing. Chloropyramine change functional characteristics of PV and contribute to occurrence of atrial fibrillation. It should be noted that chloropyramine does not provoke atrial tachyarrhythmias, but create conditions for their occurrence during physical exercise and sympathetic stimulation."

Personalized approach for patients with anaphylaxis to biologics used for chronic spontaneous urticaria
(EADV-Sp 2024)
- "On the night of omalizumab treatment the patient had anaphylaxis requiring therapy in the hospital with intravenous dexamethasone and chloropyramine. After 10 days, 8 mg methylprednisolone tablets was instituted but did not completely relieve symptoms... Combination of cyclosporine and low dose methylprednisolone provided better results compared with either methylprednisolone or cyclosporine monotherapy. In the absence of a sufficient clinical response to cyclosporine alone in a standard therapeutic dose, a steroid sparing approach using glucocorticosteroids beginning at a minimal dose which is then increased every week to a dose that will help control the manifestations of chronic spontaneous urticaria may be very effective as individualized treatment."

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) induced by terbinafine
(EADV 2023)
- "The most common culprits are antibiotics such as penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones or tetracyclines, followed by calcium channel blockers, carbamazepine, non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and antifungals, mostly terbinafine...Treatment with methylprednisolone 40mg, chloropyramine hydrochloride, infusions with serum glucose 500ml daily, and topical clobetasol dipropionate resulted in rapid complete remission... AGEP induced by terbinafine has only rarely been reported and the drug is not on the shortlist of medications responsible for this form of SCARs as it is mainly known to cause erythema multiforme, severe urticaria, erythroderma or worsening of pre-existing psoriasis. Terbinafine-induced AGEP may demonstrate slow recovery compared to other causative agents which is due to the presence of the drug in the skin for several weeks after exposure. Contrary to that experience, a rapid and complete recovery was observed in our patient after terbinafine..."

Ways to solve the problem of cross-reactions during immunochromatographic examination of biological objects
(PubMed, Sud Med Ekspert)
- "The purpose of this review is to study the causes of cross-reactions of a number of drugs (mebeverine, phenibut, tropicamide, ramipril, metoprolol, phenylephrine, sertraline, chloropyramine and diphenhydramine) during the preliminary stage of laboratory diagnostics by immunochromatographic method and to propose a possible algorithm for solving this problem. Conducting a hair study in order to identify the fact of the use of psychoactive substances will increase the reliability of analytical diagnostics and reduce the likelihood of false positive results of the analysis. The use of a validated method of enzymatic hydrolysis of hair will eliminate unreliable results of the analysis due to the detection of the native molecule of the toxicant, increase the efficiency and accuracy of the diagnostic procedure."

(PubMed, Vector Borne Zoonotic Dis)
- "The American Heartworm Society (AHS) recommends the three-dose alternate melarsomine therapeutic regimen, together with a macrocyclic lactone (ML) to reduce new infections and eliminate susceptible larvae and doxycycline against Wolbachia bacteria...Microfilaremic dogs were pretreated with prednisolone and clopidogrel for 1 week before the first moxidectin application...On the first day, dexamethasone and chloropyramine were used to avoid potential adverse effects caused by the destroyed microfilariae...From the 60th day, dalteparin was applied for 10 days to decrease the chance of pulmonary thromboembolism...All dogs recovered clinically by the 120th day and no microfilaremia was seen that time. An antigen test performed in 37/44 animals on the 271st day was also negative in all cases."

Discovery of novel chloropyramine-cinnamic acid hybrids as potential FAK inhibitors for intervention of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.
(PubMed, Bioorg Med Chem)
- "Further mechanism studies indicated the ability of 7d in disrupting Y925 autophosphorylation of FAK, reducing formation of focal adhesions (FAs) and stress fibers (SFs) as well as inducing apoptosis of TNBC cells. Together, 7d is a novel FAK inhibitor to inhibit the essential nonkinase scaffolding function of FAK via binding FAT domain and may be worth studying further for intervention of TNBC."

ADVERSE REACTIONS DURING INFUSION OF ALLOGENEIC HAEMATOPOIETIC STEM CELLS GRAFTS
(EBMT 2022)
- " The highest incidence of ARs was observed in patients that received cryopreserved PBSCs. ARs were mostly mild, classified as grade 1, and they resolved spontaneously or after symptomatic treatment. However, considering that severe, life–threating ARs were reported, we strongly recommend careful patient monitoring during the graft infusion to recognise potential ARs and prevent possible further complications."

These data allow to propose that even if there are antibody-dependent MC reactions, they can be easily stopped by the administration of histamine receptor blockers."

SASH1 is a prognostic indicator and potential therapeutic target in non-small cell lung cancer.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
