Efficacy of an Anti-IL-4/IL-13 Vaccine in Models of Chronic Allergic Asthma in Mice (ATS 2022) - "METHODS : We developed conjugate vaccines against IL-4 and IL-13, named IL-4/IL-13 kinoids, and tested their prophylactic and therapeutic efficacy in models of chronic asthma induced by repeated intranasal exposures to house dust mite (HDM)...This human vaccine also reduced key asthma features in a chronic HDM-induced asthma model in humanized mice. CONCLUSIONS : Dual IL‑4/IL-13 vaccination represents a promising, cost-effective, long-term therapeutic strategy for the treatment of allergic asthma."
