Multidimensional Scale of Motives for Postponing Parenthood (MSMPP-18): Development, factorial structure and psychometric properties.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "The psychological approach to the motives for deferred parenthood, carried out in a series of 3 studies, is important from the theoretical, empirical, and practical points of view. The MSMPP-18 appears to be a reliable instrument for measuring the six motives for postponed parenthood and the total score of delayed parenthood."

The mediating effect of maturity on anxiety and the motives for postponing parenthood.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "The respondents completed the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), the Maturity to Parenthood Scale (MPS), and the Multidimensional Scale of Motives for Postponing Parenthood (MSMPP-18)...In all six of the seven models (except "worry"), at least one of the factors of maturity to parenthood mediated the relationship between trait anxiety and motives for postponing parenthood/total score. Based on the results it can be assumed that a tendency to direct attention to a threat related to the context of child-bearing and child-rearing may lead to lower maturity to parenthood, which in turn may result in various motives for postponing parenthood."

D-like receptor activation by intranasal dopamine attenuates fear responses induced by electrical stimulation of the dorsal periaqueductal grey matter, but fails to reduce aversion to pit vipers and T-maze performance.
(PubMed, J Psychopharmacol)
- "Wistar rats exposed to ES-dPAG were treated with Sulpiride (SUL, 40 mg/kg, D-like receptor antagonist) previously IN-DA (2 mg/kg)...These findings cannot be attributed to motor performance. The decision-making responses to avoid dangerous situations can be orchestrated by supra-mesencephalic structures connected by non-dopaminergic inputs."
