Bremsstrahlung cannon design for shock ignition relevant regime.
(PubMed, Rev Sci Instrum)
- "In this regime with laser intensities of 10 W/cm-10 W/cm, fast electrons with energies ≤100 keV are expected to be generated through Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) and Two Plasmon Decay (TPD) instabilities. The main purpose of the BSC in our experiment is to identify the contribution to x-ray emission from bremsstrahlung of fast electrons originating from SRS and TPD, with expected temperatures of 40 keV and 95 keV, respectively. Data analysis and reconstruction of the distributions of x-ray photons incident on the BSC are described."

Preliminary dosimetric analysis of DOTA-folate radiopharmaceutical radiolabelled with Sc produced through V(p,x)Sc cyclotron irradiation.
(PubMed, Phys Med Biol)
- "For such a reason, the absorbed dose contributions to healthy organs and the effective dose contributions by the three radioisotopes, Sc, Sc and Sc, were evaluated using DOTA-folate conjugate (cm10) as an example of radiopharmaceutical product. Considering as acceptable the limits of 99% for the radionuclidic purity and 10% for the contribution of radioactive Sc-contaminants to the total effective dose after Sc-cm10 injection, it was obtained that proton beam energies below 35 MeV must be used to produce Sc through irradiation of a V target."

Combination of lyophilized adipose-derived stem cell concentrated conditioned medium and polysaccharide hydrogel in the inhibition of hypertrophic scarring.
(PubMed, Stem Cell Res Ther)
- "Altogether, ADSCC-CM can downregulate the expression of α-SMA due to its anti-fibrosis effect and promote the rearrangement of collagen fibres, which is integral to scar precaution. The in situ cross bonding of ADSCC-CM and polysaccharide hydrogel could remarkably enhance the therapeutic outcomes in inhibiting scar proliferation. Hence, the alliance of ADSCC-CM and hydrogel may become a potential alternative in hypertrophic scar prophylaxis."

Experimental and theoretical investigation of resonances in low-energy NO-H collisions.
(PubMed, J Chem Phys)
- "In this report, we continue these investigations by measuring the scattering behavior of the NO-H system in the previously unexplored 0.4 cm-10 cm region for the parity changing de-excitation channel of NO...We furthermore identify the partial wave contributions to these resonances and investigate the nature of the differences between collisions with para- and ortho-H. Additionally, we tune the energy spreads in the experiment to our advantage to probe scattering behavior at energies beyond our mean experimental limit."

The histone methylation readers MRG1/MRG2 and the histone chaperones NRP1/NRP2 associate in fine-tuning Arabidopsis flowering time.
(PubMed, Plant J)
- "In contrast, NRP1/2 and MRG1/MRG2 act together, likely in a multiprotein complex manner, in promoting transcription of FLOWERING LOCUS C (FLC) via increase of both H4K5ac and H3K9ac in the FLC chromatin. Because the expression pattern of FLC represents the major category of differentially expressed genes identified by genome-wide RNA-seq analysis in the mrg1 mrg2, nrp1 nrp2 and mrg1 mrg2 nrp1 nrp2 mutants, it is reasonable to speculate that the NRP1/2-MRG1/MRG2 complex may be involved in transcriptional activation of genes beyond FLC and flowering time control."

MRG1/2 histone methylation readers and HD2C histone deacetylase associate in repression of the florigen gene FT to set a proper flowering time in response to day-length changes.

Our findings not only reveal a histone deacetylation mechanism contributing to prevent FT overexpression and precocious flowering, but also support the model in which the histone methylation readers MRG1/2 provide a platform on chromatin for connecting regulatory factors involved in activating FT expression in response to daylight and decreasing FT expression around dusk in long days."

Active chromatin marks drive spatial sequestration of heterochromatin in C. elegans nuclei.
