The histone chaperone NASP maintains H3-H4 reservoirs in the early Drosophila embryo.
(PubMed, PLoS Genet)
- "Here, we show that CG8223, the Drosophila homolog of NASP, is a H3-H4-specific chaperone in the early embryo...Critically, soluble H3-H4 pools are degraded in embryos laid by NASP mutant mothers. Our work identifies NASP as the critical H3-H4 histone chaperone in the Drosophila embryo."

Relationship between laparoscopic total gastrectomy-associated postoperative complications and gastric cancer prognosis.
(PubMed, Updates Surg)
- "A significant difference was detected in the median days until postoperative recurrence (CG 223 days vs. non-CG 469 days; p = 0.017) between the two groups. Serious postoperative complications after LTG negatively affected the GC prognosis. Efforts to decrease incidences of serious complications should be made that may help in better prognosis in patients with GC after LTG."

CG223, a novel BET inhibitor, exerts TGF-β1-mediated antifibrotic effects in a murine model of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis.
(PubMed, Pulm Pharmacol Ther)
- "Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive disease with poor prognosis and limited therapeutic options. Subsequent in vitro studies with murine primary lung fibroblasts showed that the mRNA induction of Thbs1, Itgb3, and Acta2 by TGF-β1 can be inhibited by CG223 in a dose-dependent manner. Taken together, CG223-induced BRD4 inhibition suppressed lung fibrogenesis by affecting multiple genes, including those involved in the triggering of the TGF-β1 autocrine/paracrine loop."
