Positional Changes of the Maxillary Permanent Canines After Treatment with Facemask and Hyrax: A retrospective cohort study.
(PubMed, J Clin Exp Dent)
- "A retrospective cohort study was conducted, including a longitudinal and panoramic radiographic (panorex) analysis...The results indicate that MEP treatment does not cause unfavorable positional changes in Mx3 or Mx6 in these patients. EpCAM-targeted near-infrared photoimmunotherapy (NIR-PIT) for the treatment of breast cancer.
(PubMed, Ann Med)
- "We first evaluated the target cell-killing efficacy of EpCAM-targeted NIR-PIT (EpCAM-NIR-PIT) using the antibody Edrecolomab in human breast and colon cancer models characterized by high EpCAM expression...Furthermore, mice that achieved CR demonstrated resistance to tumour rechallenge, indicating the establishment of long-term anticancer immunity. This study demonstrated that EpCAM-NIR-PIT, particularly when combined with immune-activating agents such as anti-PD-1, is a promising new approach for cancer treatment, inducing durable and systemic anticancer immunity."

Reconstruction of Large Mandibular Defects with Femur Bone using the Synthes Reamer Irrigator Aspirator (RIA-2) System
(AAOMS 2024)
- "The average size of the defect was 8.5 cm in length and 3.2 cm in height as measured on panorex... Corticocancellous femur bone is an underutilized source of autogenous, nonvascularized bone for reconstruction of mandibular defects. We recommend surgeons consider this option for patients who meet appropriate criteria, namely those with segmental mandibular defects secondary to benign pathology greater than 6 cm without history of head and neck radiation. Future studies are needed with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up to evaluate long-term restoration of function."
