CD2-Targeted IL-2 Nanoparticles Combined with Histone Peptides Synergistically Induce Regulatory T Cells That Suppress Lupus Nephritis (ACR Convergence 2026) - "Combined delivery of CD2 targeted nanoparticles that repair IL-2 and TGF-ß deficiencies with disease-relevant tolerogenic peptides synergistically promotes Treg expansion and function, both preventing and delaying lupus nephritis in two murine models. Corroborating ex-vivo findings in SLE patients' PBMC support further translational development of this combined approach as a practicable antigen-specific tolerance strategy for SLE that may avoid the adverse effects associated with broad B cell-depleting therapies."
