Researchers say the mystery of Parkinson’s disease transplantation has been solved
(Eminetra)
- "'The concept of a simple drug that acts on the serotonin system, Buspirone, The short four-hour test performed on two patients proved attractive, Okun said. Management of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in transgender women: a guide for clinicians.
(PubMed, Int J Impot Res)
- "Among treatment options, transgender women may benefit of different sex therapy strategies and/or central nervous system-active medications-such as flibanserin, bremelanotide, bupropion and buspirone-and transdermal testosterone, bearing in mind that this option could be poorly accepted by patients due to the risk of virilizing effects. The lack of data regarding the efficacy of HSDD treatment options in transgender women emphasize the need for literature to focus more on this topic in the future."

Brain delivery of buspirone hydrochloride chitosan nanoparticles for the treatment of general anxiety disorder.
(PubMed)
- "Nose-to-brain delivery of placebo NPs was investigated by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) technique using rhodamine-123 as a marker. The brain concentration achieved after intranasal administration of TCS-NPs was 797.46±35.76ng/ml with tmax 120min which was significantly higher than achieved after intravenous administration on BUH solution 384.15±13.42ng/ml and tmax of 120min and intranasal administration of BUH solution 417.77±19.24ng/ml and tmax 60min."

Acute exposure to waterborne psychoactive drugs attract zebrafish.
(PubMed)
- "The zebrafish were attracted by certain concentrations of diazepam, fluoxetine, risperidone and buspirone, which were most likely detected by olfaction, because this behavior was absent in anosmic fish. These findings suggest that despite their deleterious effects, certain psychoactive drugs attract fish."
