Income-Related Disparities in Mortality Among Young Adults With Type 2 Diabetes.
(PubMed, JAMA Netw Open)
- "Data were analyzed between January 1, 2023, and August 27, 2024...In this cohort study of 1 240 780 individuals aged 20 to 79 years, the risk of mortality with low income was most prominent among individuals with T2D aged 20 to 39 years. These findings highlight the need for socioeconomic support to reduce income-related health disparities in younger individuals."

Efficacy and diabetes risk of moderate-intensity statin plus ezetimibe versus high-intensity statin after percutaneous coronary intervention.
(PubMed, Cardiovasc Diabetol)
- "In patients undergoing PCI, moderate-intensity statin plus ezetimibe demonstrated a similar risk of MACCEs but a lower risk of new-onset DM than high-intensity statin. Early combination treatment of moderate-intensity statin and ezetimibe may be a useful and safe lipid-lowering strategy after PCI."

A phase I, open-label, multicenter, dose escalation and expansion study of HM97662 (EZH1/2 dual inhibitor) as a single agent in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors
(ESMO 2024)
- P1 | "EZH1/2 repress the transcription of target genes by triggering tri-methylation of the lysine 27 residue of histone H3 (H3K27me3). Dose expansion part is designed to assess and confirm the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of HM97662 with specific target disease determined by available preclinical study results and clinical outcomes. The final analysis will be performed once or separately for each part based on study progression."

On the issue of comparing the immobilization characteristics of matrix materials based on Nb-Ta-Ti-oxides of the types AB2O6 and A2B2O7.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "It is concluded that the difference in the relative content of uranium (27.3 wt% in polycrase and 31.6 wt% in betafite) cannot be the only reason for the complete oxidation of uranium in betafite, given that in polycrase 30% of uranium is preserved in the tetravalent state...This allows us to consider minerals of the euxenite group to be quite promising as matrix materials for the immobilization of actinides. At the same time, an opinion was expressed on the advisability of further comparative studies of Nb-Ta-Ti-oxides of the mineral groups AB2O6 and A2B2O7 for their use at the final stage of the nuclear fuel cycle."

Body mass index is associated with clinical outcomes in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "Based on BMI, 3.1%, 32.8%, 27.8%, and 36.4% were classified as underweight, normal, overweight, and obese, respectively...Spline HR curve analysis adjusted for all covariates revealed a non-linear relationship between BMI and mortality in patients with IPF. Our data suggest that BMI is associated with clinical outcomes in patients with IPF."

The association between body mass index and osteoporosis in a Taiwanese population: a cross-sectional and longitudinal study.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "Participants were categorized into four BMI groups: underweight (BMI < 18.5 kg/m2), normal weight (18.5 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 24 kg/m2), overweight (24 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 27 kg/m2), and obese groups (BMI ≥ 27 kg/m2)...In addition, underweight is an independent risk factor for developing osteoporosis. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining normal weight for optimal bone health."

Synthetic lethal strategy of an EZH1/2 dual inhibitor, HM97662, for the treatment of ARID1A-mutated solid cancers
(AACR 2024)
- "Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), an enzymatic subunit of polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), is known to catalyze tri-methylation of histone H3 at lysine 27 (H3K27me3), leading to repression of the transcription of its target genes involved in cell cycle regulation, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and tumor suppression. In conclusion, these preclinical studies demonstrated that HM97662 as an EZH1/2 dual inhibitor, holds promising therapeutic potential for ARID1A-mutated solid cancers. It is crucial to evaluate the effectiveness of HM97662 in subsequent clinical trials."
