Pfizer ends early-stage trial as STING programmes evolve (Firstwordpharma Press Release) - "Pfizer terminated a Phase I trial evaluating oral STING agonist PF-07820435 to treat advanced solid tumours, per an update posted to ClinicalTrials.gov on Thursday. The discontinuation was due to 'strategic business reasons… not based on any safety and/or efficacy concerns,' according to the update....The termination comes as drug developers have begun to explore other ways to manipulate the cGAS-STING pathway and to move out of oncology."
