Novo Nordisk takes mystery obesity drug into FIH trial against semaglutide (AllSci Corp) - "Novo Nordisk has registered a first-in-human Phase I study of previously undisclosed obesity candidate NNC0721-8060, with a 142-participant program that will evaluate weight loss and include semaglutide alongside placebo despite the company keeping the asset's target and modality under wraps...The randomized, double-blind, parallel-group study (NCT07767175) plans to enroll 142 adults aged 18–55 with a body mass index of 27.0–34.9 kg/m², divided across three parts with distinct primary endpoints: treatment-emergent adverse events in Parts A and B, and percentage change in body weight from baseline in Part C....The trial is expected to begin in August 2026 at two ICON-operated early-phase sites in Lenexa, Kansas and San Antonio, Texas, with primary completion anticipated in September 2027."
