Pulsed Dye Laser with Compression for Treatment of Solar Lentigenes in an Asian Centre (EADV-Sp 2026) - "Twenty-five (83%) patients were treated concurrently with topical lightening agents, namely tretinoin 0.025%-0.05% cream, hydroquinone 4% cream, vitamin C cream, niacin cream and triple combination cream (fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, hydroquinone 4%, tretinoin 0.05%)...One patient was taking oral tranexamic acid...Limitations include the small sample size and loss of follow up for some patients. More studies are needed to determine the optimal parameters using this technique for the treatment of solar lentigines."

High heterogeneity across studies suggests that genetic, environmental, and methodological factors affect outcomes. Further well-designed trials are needed to optimize melasma management and explore alternative therapies with improved efficacy and safety."

The structure of microbial populations in Nelore GIT reveals inter-dependency of methanogens in feces and rumen. (PubMed, J Anim Sci Biotechnol) - "The archaeal ASVs identified as co-occurring between GIT compartments corresponded to the methanogenic genera Methanobrevibacter and Methanosphaera and represented 26.34% of the overall archaeal sequencesdiversity in the rumen and 42.73% in feces. Considering that these archaeal ASVs corresponded to a significant part of the overall diversity of both microbiomes, which is much higher if one includes the interactions of these co-occurring with other rumen archaea ASVs, we suggest that fecal methanogens could be used as a proxy of ruminal methanogens."

Melasma Successfully Treated with Tranexamic Acid (AAD 2019) - "Previous treatment included Tri-Luma nightly for 3 months with little improvement. In patients appropriately screened for risk of thromboembolic events, TXA can be a safe and effective treatment for melasma. Current literature recommends oral TXA be used in cases of melasma that are refractory to topical therapies, including hydroquinone and combination topical therapy."
