Bacterial Outer Membrane Vesicles as a Platform for the Development of a Broadly Protective Human Papillomavirus Vaccine Based on the Minor Capsid Protein L2.
(PubMed, Vaccines (Basel))
- "We show that strings of L2 epitopes could be efficiently expressed on the surface of the OMVs and a polypeptide composed of the L2 epitopes from serotypes 18, 33, 35, and 59 provided a broad cross-protective activity against a large panel of HPV serotypes as determined using pseudovirus neutralization assay. Considering the simplicity of the OMV production process, our work provides a highly effective and inexpensive solution to produce universal anti-HPV vaccines."

Contact patterns and HPV-genotype interactions yield heterogeneous HPV-vaccine impacts depending on sexual behaviors: An individual-based model.
(PubMed, Epidemics)
- "These prevalence changes were more pronounced in individuals with ≤ 3 partners per year (up to 30% of prevalence modification assuming 65% vaccine coverage) but barely visible for individuals with > 3 partners per year (at most 0.30%). Results suggest the presence of genotype interaction, which is consistent with the pre-vaccine situation, may impact the dynamics of non-vaccine genotypes, particularly in less active individuals."

[VIRTUAL] EXPERIENCE OF DIAGNOSTIC APPROACH IN A PATIENT WITH CONDYLOMATOSIS AND MYELODYSPLASIA IN A MEXICAN HOSPITAL
(ACAAI 2020)
- "Symptoms are varied and include severe infections (most commonly viral or nontuberculous mycobacterial infections), respiratory problems, hearing loss, leg swelling, blood anormalities, and cancer that can appear later in life. Treatment depends on the symptoms and may include vaccination, antibiotics, and bone marrow transplant."

[VIRTUAL] The Impact of Behavioral Nudges, Communication Training and Assessment and Feedback on Adolescent Vaccination Rates and Parent Satisfaction
(IDWeek 2020)
- "Practices in both intervention groups evidenced an increase in adolescent vaccination rates. While some parents had concerns about HPV vaccine safety and necessity, parents welcomed discussions about HPV vaccine and were satisfied with their provider's communication regardless of their vaccine decisions."

[VIRTUAL] Remember the member! Penile carcinoma in a young man with common variable immunodeficiency
(BAD 2020)
- "The long delay in presentation due to embarrassment is notable as the patient was attending multiple specialities. The HPV vaccine may in the future prevent such malignancies in susceptible patients."

Knowledge and Attitudes Towards Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Testing and Vaccination at an Urban Health Clinic
(ACOG 2020)
- "A large percentage of population surveyed had little knowledge about HPV testing and vaccination. Follow up research is needed to evaluate best methods/practice for dissemination of information and ensuring access to the HPV vaccine."

Understanding Men's Perceptions of Human Papillomavirus and Cervical Cancer Screening in Kampala, Uganda.
(PubMed, J Glob Oncol)
- "Knowledge of HPV and cervical cancer among Ugandan men is low. Even after targeted education, confusion remained about disease transmission and treatment. Ongoing education programs geared toward men and interventions to encourage spousal communication about reproductive health and shared decision making may improve awareness of cervical cancer prevention strategies."
