[VIRTUAL] HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS TYPE 197 IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH SKIN TUMORS
(IPVC-I 2020)
- "Conclusions We conclude from our data that HPV197 is not associated with non-melanoma skin tumors, because it was undetectable by qPCR in almost all lesional biopsies analyzed. HPV197 was found on the surface of normal forehead skin of both immunocompetent and immunosuppressed individuals, and thus could be part of the human skin virome."

Prospective study of blood viral load of Epstein-Barr virus, herpes virus type 6 and human parvovirus B19 in Crohn's disease: Does therapy matter?
(PubMed, J Clin Virol)
- "The detection of EBV, HPVB19, and HHV6 viremia, in stable CD patients, was not impacted by biological/immunosuppressant therapy. Although attractive as a non-invasive technique, this approach did not prove to be useful in stable patients. More and larger studies are needed to address the relevance of these viruses on IBD course, in stable patients and during exacerbations."

Evaluation of the LIAISON XL Zika Capture IgM II for the Diagnosis of Zika Virus Infections.
(PubMed, Viruses)
- "For this purpose we tested 128 samples obtained from recent infections caused by the Zika (ZIKV; 74 samples), dengue (DENV; 10 samples), chikungunya (CHIK V; 11 samples), rubella (RUBV; 10 samples) and measles (MeV; 10 samples) viruses, as well as human parvovirus B19 (HPVB19; 13 samples)...The specificity (91.25%) was hampered by some false-positive results in recent dengue virus, chikungunya virus, measles virus and human parvovirus B19 infections. The method evaluated is adequate, but the low specificity makes it necessary to consider the clinical and epidemiological contexts of patients, as well as other laboratory results."

Parvovirus B19: Does It Cause Kidney Disease? A Case Presentation and Review of the Literature
(KIDNEY WEEK 2019)
- "This was a rare case of end stage kidney disease, fever, anaemia and pericarditis associated with acute HPVB19 infection. This work adds to the body of knowledge describing the potential for HPVB19 associated glomerulopathy in our patients."
