Symmetrically Fluorinated D-π-A Structured Cyanine Dye for Highly Efficient NIR-II Imaging-Guided Cancer Phototheranostics.
(PubMed, Small)
- "NPIR1116 exhibits strong NIR-II absorption and fluorescence, peaking at 1004 and 1116 nm, respectively, as well as a photothermal conversion efficiency of 79% under 1064 nm lasers. In vitro and in vivo studies showed the efficacy of NPIR1116 in tumor imaging via NIR-II fluorescence and its ability to effectively induce tumor cell apoptosis under 1064 nm laser irradiation. These findings underscore the potential of NPIR1116 in NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided PTT for tumor treatment, paving the way for further advancements in NIR-II dye development and bioimaging technologies."

RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY FOR SYNOVIAL BIOPSY TISSUE ANALYSIS: A PROOF OF CONCEPT STUDY
(EULAR 2024)
- "PC4 showed predominantly a lipid character as evidenced by its positive peaks at 1004, 1156, 1520 and 1657 typical of carotenoids and triglycerides, while the negative peaks express a protein character being attributable to Amide I and Amide III (Figure 1)... Results of the current study demonstrate the applicability of RS for chemical analysis of frozen synovial tissue in human chronic inflammatory arthritis. Pilot analyses provide evidence of the potential of RS to highlight chemical differences between RA and CTRL based on the evaluation of a very limited amount of tissue over and above the histopathologic level."

Spatiotemporal distribution of chemical signatures exhibited by Myxococcus xanthus in response to metabolic conditions.
(PubMed, Anal Bioanal Chem)
- "While the metabolites responsible for these Raman features are not completely identified, three M. xanthus peaks at 1004, 1151, and 1510 cm are consistent with the production of lycopene. Thus, a combination of CRM imaging and PCA enables the spatial mapping of spectral signatures of secreted factors from M. xanthus and their correlation with metabolic conditions."

Evaluating the utility of time-lapse imaging in the estimation of post-mortem interval: An Australian case study.
(PubMed, Forensic Sci Int)
- "Decomposition initially progressed quickly and then plateaued at 1004 hours PMI, with a TBS of 24...Two other interesting findings were that the results suggest that scoring TBS multiple times per day does not improve estimates of PMI, however scoring TBS at daybreak produces more accurate results than scoring TBS later in the day. This may be an important consideration in forensic scenarios."
