Readability of Patient Education Materials in Head and Neck Cancer: A Systematic Review.
(PubMed, JAMA Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg)
- "Of the 3235 studies identified, 17 studies assessing the readability of 1124 HNC PEMs produced by professional societies, hospitals, and others were included...This incongruence highlights the need to address the readability of HNC PEMs to improve patient understanding of the disease and to mitigate potential barriers to shared decision-making for patients with HNC. It is crucial to acknowledge the responsibility of health care professionals to produce and promote more effective PEMs to dismantle the potentially preventable literacy barriers."

Climate-related naturally occurring epimutation and their roles in plant adaptation in A. thaliana.
(PubMed, Mol Ecol)
- "655 of the 3235 DMRs are associated with climatic variables, and we experimentally verified one of them, HEI10 (HUMAN ENHANCER OF CELL INVASION NO.10)...We therefore incorporated these climate-related DMRs into a gradient forest model, and found that the natural A. thaliana accessions in Southern Europe that may be most at risk under future climate change. Our findings highlight the importance of integrating DNA methylation that is independent of genetic variations, and climatic data to predict plants' vulnerability to future climate change."

Effectiveness, reach, uptake, and feasibility of digital health interventions for adults with hypertension: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
(PubMed, Lancet Digit Health)
- "SMS, smartphone application, and website interventions were associated with statistically and clinically significant systolic and diastolic blood pressure reductions, compared with usual care, regardless of the mode of delivery of the intervention. This conclusion is tempered by the considerable heterogeneity of included studies and the high risk of bias in most. Future studies need to describe in detail the mediators and moderators of the effectiveness and implementation of these interventions, to both further improve their effectiveness as well as increase their reach, uptake, and feasibility."

Potent anti-amoebic effects of Ibogaine, Voacangine and the root bark alkaloid fraction of Tabernaemontana arborea.
(PubMed, Planta Med)
- "The treatment of trophozoites with the ICs for 24 h induced significant morphological changes in the trophozoites, slight increase in granularity, and death by apoptonecrosis...Results showed that even when the treatments reduced the number of amoebic trophozoites in tissue sections of livers, they were unable to limit the formation of abscesses, suggesting their rapid processing to inactive metabolites. This work leaves open the possibility of using Tabernaemontana alkaloids as a new alternative for amoebiasis control."

Reporting Outcomes and Outcome Measures in Open Rhinoplasty: A Systematic Review.
(PubMed, Aesthet Surg J)
- "There is heterogeneity in the outcomes and outcome measures used to assess post-surgical outcomes following rhinoplasty. A standardized core outcome set is urgently needed to make it possible for future investigators to compare results of various techniques in rhinoplasty surgery."

Use of darunavir in HIV-1-infected individuals in routine clinical practice from 2012 to 2016 in France.
(PubMed, J Antimicrob Chemother)
- "Darunavir-containing regimens yielded similarly high rates of viral suppression in PLHIV whether they were ARV naive or ARV experienced switching to darunavir while failing therapy, or of maintaining VS in ARV-experienced PLHIV switching to darunavir while virologically controlled."
