Anti-inflammatory drugs as potential antimicrobial agents: a review.
(PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
- "NSAIDs, namely aceclofenac, diclofenac, and ibuprofen, were tested in clinical trials with patients diagnosed with uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) and cellulitis...Similarly, aspirin caused a high survival rate in M. tuberculosis-infected mice and strong to moderate in vitro activity against E. coli, B. cereus, P. aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Salmonella choleraesuis (MIC 1.2-5 mg/L). Moreover, topical application of celecoxib resulted in a high reduction in MRSA burden in mice...These data suggest that certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are promising drug candidates for the development of dual-action drugs for the potential treatment of combined infectious and inflammatory diseases such as tuberculosis, musculoskeletal infections and UTIs. Nevertheless, future clinical trials must be conducted to ascertain the antibacterial effect of these NSAIDs before their practical use."

ULTRASOUND-GUIDED COMMON PERONEAL NERVE BLOCK AND SCAR INFILTRATION FOR CHRONIC POSTOPERATIVE NEUROPATHIC PAIN: A CASE REPORT
(ASRA-SPRING 2025)
- "Minimal residual pain at the nailing site wasmanaged conservatively with oral analgesics (T.Amitriptyline 5 mg at bedtime for 5 days, followed by 10mg at bedtime, and Tablet with combination of 100 mg ofaceclofenac, 325 mg of paracetamol, and 15mg ofserratiopeptidase for 3 days) and physiotherapy.Follow-up at three months confirmed sustained pain reliefand functional improvement.ResultsThis case underscores the efficacy of ultrasound-guided nerve blocksand scar infiltration in addressing chronic postoperative neuropathicpain. Ultrasound-guided peripheralnerve blocks and scar infiltration have been explored as effectiveinterventional strategies to alleviate chronic postoperative pain. Thiscase report discusses a patient with chronic neuropathic painfollowing tibia and fibula fracture surgery, emphasizing the role oftargeted pain management techniques."

Overall compilation of adverse effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: a hypothesis-free systematic investigation using a nationwide cohort study.
(PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
- "Further, we assessed the association between five NSAID subtypes (aceclofenac, meloxicam, loxoprofen, celecoxib, and naproxen) and AEs, and compared their adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs) with each other. Our findings enhance the understanding of NSAID safety profiles by identifying dose-response and duration-time AEs. They also contribute to better diagnosis and management of AEs while providing valuable guidelines for both patients and clinicians."

Formulation and Evaluation of Microsponges-loaded Transdermal Gel for the Management of Osteoarthritis.
(PubMed, Recent Adv Inflamm Allergy Drug Discov)
- "The findings indicate that Formulation F1 exhibits superior entrapment and enhanced drug release. The kinetics study suggests that the optimized formulation aligns well with the Higuchi model and adheres to the Fickian transport drug release mechanism. Animal study findings suggest that optimized formulation Ace(B) may possess ideal -anti-osteoarthritic activity for osteoarthritic disease. Further clinical trials on humans may be conducted in order to make the research fruitful for society."

Dynamic Behavior of the Glassy and Supercooled Liquid States of Aceclofenac Assessed by Dielectric and Calorimetric Techniques.
(PubMed, Molecules)
- "This is supported by significant differences observed between the FTIR spectra of the amorphous and crystalline samples, which are likely related to aggregation differences resulting from variations in the hydrogen bonds between the two phases. Additionally, the pronounced decoupling between translational and relaxational motions, as deduced from the low value of the fractional exponent x = 0.72, derived from the fractional Debye-Stokes-Einstein (FDSE) relationship, further supports this interpretation."

Open observational study with a retrospective analysis of the efficacy and tolerability of aceclofenac in patients with acute non-specific low back pain
(PubMed, Zh Nevrol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova)
- "The use of NSAIDs for low back pain is effective and safe. Aceclofenac and nimesulide are superior to dexketoprofen and lornoxicam in terms of functional activity associated with low back pain and health-related quality of life. Aceclofenac demonstrated the most favorable safety profile and a lower risk of chronicity (compared to nimesulide and lornoxicam) and recurrence (compared to dexketoprofen) of low back pain."

(PubMed, Zh Nevrol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova)
- "It has been shown that the intensity of neuropathic pain decreases with the administration of pregabalin. In acute nonspecific back pain, the use of aceclofenac is effective. The severity of musculotonic pain syndrome is significantly reduced when using tolperizone (Midocalm-long). The results of the analyzed studies confirm the effectiveness and safety of the combination."

Synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of heteroarylamide derivatives as potential analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antidiarrheal and cytotoxic agents.
(PubMed, Heliyon)
- "Evaluation of anti-inflammatory activity unveiled that compound 4 exhibited 36.9 %, 64.17 %, 82.9 % and 93.9 % inhibition of paw edema as compared to aceclofenac's inhibition of 35.5 %, 78.6 %, 79.3 % and 91.2 % at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th hours, respectively. Compounds 5 and 6 exerted considerable antidiarrheal effects with 85.00 % and 71.67 % inhibition of defecation at 25 mg/kg dose, respectively, whereas, the standard loperamide showed 85.00 % inhibition...Molecular docking analysis suggested that certain macromolecular targets such as cyclooxygenase-2, muscarinic M3 receptor and matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) might be involved for the observed activities. As predicted by in silico ADME/T analysis, the compounds also possessed good pharmacokinetic properties."

(ISTH 2024)
- "Before surgery, aggregation activity in ACF group was significantly reduced relative to the control (table 1), however, on the 1st day after surgery it increased to the control level, which probably can be the result of a higher platelet consumption (table 2). By 7th day, aggregation activity in ACF group decreased again relative to the control. In ETC group, aggregation did not differ from the control during entire study period, and no postoperative reactive thrombocytosis was detected."
