Clinicopathological correlation of PTPN3 expression in breast cancer and in silico drug screening against PTPN3 for therapeutics.
(PubMed, Cancer Genet)
- "MD simulations confirmed stable connections via hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions under minimal constraints. In conclusion, PTPN3 overexpression supports its role as a prognostic biomarker, and Cyclocort, Toposar, and Tetracycline need further confirmation as potential PTPN3 inhibitors."

Identification of potential SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors among well-tolerated drugs using drug repurposing and in vitro approaches.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "Furthermore, dual combination experiments revealed that amcinonide, pimozide, lumacaftor, and eltrombopag acted as potent inhibitors at nanomolar concentrations when combined with candesartan. This study highlights lumacaftor, candesartan, and nelfinavir as effective inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 replication in vitro and emphasizes their potential for repurposing as antiviral treatments. These findings support future clinical trials and may lead to breakthroughs in COVID-19 treatment strategies."

Differential Diagnosis of Irritant Versus Allergic Contact Dermatitis Based on Noninvasive Methods.
(PubMed, Dermatol Pract Concept)
- "The evaluation of patients with noninvasive parameters, including transepidermal water loss (TEWL), hemoglobin concentration, and skin texture and volume, could markedly aid in distinguishing irritant contact dermatitis from allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). Nevertheless, the study was constrained by a limited sample size."

Identification of oxidative stress-related biomarkers in uterine leiomyoma: a transcriptome-combined Mendelian randomization analysis.
(PubMed, Front Endocrinol (Lausanne))
- "Additionally, ANXA1 displayed strong binding energy with amcinonide, and MICB with ribavirin. This study identified oxidative stress-related biomarkers (ANXA1, CD36, MICB, and PRDX6) in ULM through transcriptomic and MR analysis, providing valuable insights for ULM therapeutic research."

Repurposing of drugs against methyltransferase as potential Zika virus therapies.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "Of the 2895 compounds screened, five compounds (Ceforanide, Squanavir, Amcinonide, Cefpiramide, and Olmesartan_Medoxomil) ranked highest based on filtering of having the least negative interactions with the NS5 and were selected for Molecular Dynamic Simulations (MDS) studies...The binding energy calculations suggested Cefpiramide and Olmesartan_Medoxomil (Ol_Me) as the most stable compounds for binding to NS5, indicating a strong rationale for their use as lead compounds for development of ZIKV inhibitors. As these drugs have been evaluated on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics parameters only, in vitro and in vivo testing and their impact on Zika viral cell culture may suggest their clinical trials on ZIKV patients."

Identification of prognosis-related genes and construction of multi-regulatory networks in pancreatic cancer microenvironment by bioinformatics analysis.
(PubMed, Cancer Cell Int)
- "Prognosis-related genes and factors such as HCAR3, PPY, RFWD2, WSPAR and Amcinonide were screened and investigated. The multi-regulatory networks constructed in this study are not only beneficial to improve treatment and evaluate patient prognosis with pancreatic cancer, but also favorable for implementing early diagnosis and personalized treatment. It is suggested that these factors may play an essential role in the progression of pancreatic cancer."
