A water-soluble luminescent tris(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl radical-carbazole dyad.
(PubMed, J Mater Chem B)
- "The water-soluble TTM radical aqueous solution showed fluorescence at 777 nm and the ability to shorten the longitudinal relaxation time (T1) of water. The concept of water-soluble luminescent radicals is expected to be used to develop a potential fluorescence and MR dual-use imaging moiety."

Detection of molecular oxygen using nanosecond-laser-induced plasma.
(PubMed, Opt Express)
- "However, atomic oxygen absorption lines that momentarily appear at 777 nm in the broadband emission from the early-stage plasma are determined to be highly sensitive to the O mole fraction but negligibly affected by the CO mole fraction...This breakdown acts as a precursor, seeding electrons to intensify the inverse-Bremsstrahlung photon absorption of the subsequent laser pulse (1064 nm). Techniques such as proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and support vector regression (SVR) are employed to precisely evaluate the O mole fraction (<1% uncertainty), by analyzing the short-lived (<10 ns) O-indicator depicted in the early-stage plasma."

Technical Adequacy of Fully Automated Artificial Intelligence Body Composition Tools: Assessment in a Heterogeneous Sample of External CT Examinations.
(PubMed, AJR Am J Roentgenol)
- "This retrospective study included 8949 patients (4256 men, 4693 women; mean age, 55.5 ± 15.9 years) who underwent 11,699 abdominal CT examinations performed at 777 unique external institutions with 83 unique scanner models from six manufacturers with images subsequently transferred to the local PACS for clinical purposes...CLINICAL IMPACT. Certain causes of AI tool failure related to technical factors may be largely preventable through use of proper acquisition and reconstruction protocols."

Excited oxygen kinetics at electronvolt temperatures via 5-MHz RF-diplexed laser absorption spectroscopy.
(PubMed, Appl Opt)
- "A multi-MHz laser absorption sensor at 777.2 nm (12,863c m ) is developed for simultaneous sensing of (1) O( S ) number density, (2) electron number density, and (3) translational temperature at conditions relevant to high-speed entry conditions and molecular dissociation...A demonstration of the electron number density measurement near 11,000 K is performed and compared to a simplified model of ionization. Finally, as an illustration of the utility of this high-speed diagnostic, the measurement of the heavy particle excitation rate of O( S ) is extended beyond the temperatures available in the literature and is found to be well represented by k( P→ S )=2.7×10 T exp(-1.428×10/T)c m ⋅s from 5400 to 12,200 K."

Simultaneous determination of phthalates and bisphenols from plastic bottled water samples by dispersive solid phase extraction with multiwalled carbon nanotubes and liquid chromatography -atmospheric pressure photoionization high resolution mass spectrometry.
(PubMed, Rapid Commun Mass Spectrom)
- "The use of APPI facilitated simultaneous determination of phthalates and bisphenols. The migration of phthalates and bisphenols increased with increase in temperature and storage time. Maximum migration was observed for diethyl, diisobutyl, dibutyl and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalates. This may be attributed to type of plastic, their processing parameters and recycling."

Analysis of Blue Corona Discharges at the Top of Tropical Thunderstorm Clouds in Different Phases of Convection.
(PubMed, Geophys Res Lett)
- "We report on observations of corona discharges at the uppermost region of clouds characterized by emissions in a blue band of nitrogen molecules at 337 nm, with little activity in the red band of lightning leaders at 777.4 nm...The discharges are observed in both environments. The observations suggest that a range of storm environments may generate corona discharges and that they may be common in convective surges."

A Novel Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) Reactor with Streamer and Glow Corona Discharge for Improved Ozone Generation at Atmospheric Pressure.
(PubMed, Micromachines (Basel))
- "The spectral peak of O at 777 nm in SL-DBD is increased to 28,800, compared with 18,389 in a reactor with a streamer only. The SL-DBD reactor produces ozone with a concentration of as high as 150 g/m and shows good stability in an 8 h durability test."

Optical emissions associated with narrow bipolar events from thunderstorm clouds penetrating into the stratosphere.
(PubMed, Nat Commun)
- "We found that both polarities NBEs are associated with emissions at 337 nm with weak or no detectable emissions at 777.4 nm, suggesting that NBEs are associated with streamer breakdown...For negative NBEs, the emission strength is almost linearly correlated with the peak current of the associated NBEs. Our findings suggest that ground-based observations of radio signals provide a new means to measure the occurrences and strength of cloud-top discharges near the tropopause."

Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy for monitoring the molten phase desulfurization process of blister copper.
(PubMed, Anal Chim Acta)
- "Using ST-LIBS the relative emission intensities of Cu(I) at 351.06 nm, O at 777.34 nm and S at 921.29 nm in both molten and gaseous phase were considered simultaneously during the process...These results were validated with differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS) as gold standard method. The analytical information obtained by LIBS can precisely determine the critical end-point of the desulfurization where the removal of sulfur is finished, and copper started to oxidize."

Collisional excitation kinetics for O(3s^{5}S^{o}) and O(3p^{5}P_{3}) states using laser absorption spectroscopy in shock-heated weakly ionized O_{2}-Ar mixture.
(PubMed, Phys Rev E)
- "Collisional excitation kinetics for atomic oxygen is studied behind reflected shock waves in 1%O_{2}/Ar mixtures over 10 000-11 000K using laser absorption spectroscopy of the O(3s^{5}S^{o}) to O(3p^{5}P_{3}) transition at 777 nm and the O(3p^{5}P_{3}) to O(3d ^{5}D_{2,3,4}^{o}) transitions at 926 nm...The four measured time histories are used to optimize the 12 collisional rate constants in the CR model using a stochastic gradient descent (SGD) algorithm. The time-history results, diagnostic methods, and collisional-radiative model presented in the current study are potentially useful in studies of high-enthalpy air, plasma processing, or other applications involving weakly ionized oxygen."
