Our meta-analysis suggests multi-target treatment strategies, by adding calcineurin inhibitors to MMF may be better for achieving complete response in LN. Furthermore, using this combination treatment did not seem to increase the risk of side effects. Heterogenous treatment response criteria and variable comparator arms were major limiting factors of this study."
