Victory with Voclosporin: A Case of Complete Remission in Severe Lupus Nephritis (NKF-SCM 2023) - Feb 18, 2023 - Abstract #168; Location: Exhibit Hall; "She received induction therapy with corticosteroids (CCS), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), and Hydroxychloroquine. Sadly, up to 60% of patients do not achieve complete renal response (UPCR < 0.5 mg/g) and roughly 30% of those progress to end stage kidney disease (ESKD). A growing body of evidence supports the superiority of multitargeted therapy, including VCS, in patients with active LN and nephrotic range proteinuria who are high risk for progression to ESKD.Conclusion Treatment with VCS in addition to the SOC led to rapid reduction of proteinuria, shorter duration of cumulative CCS exposure, and durable remission of severe LN."
