Addressing Unmet Needs in Childhood-onset Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Using the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry (ACR Convergence 2026) - Sep 8, 2026 - Abstract #2484; Pres time: Nov 10, 2026; 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Location: WB1&2; In Person; "Unmet needs were defined as the presence of any of the following (a-e): treatment with medications a) not FDA approved for cSLE; b) not considered in ACR lupus nephritis or SLE guidelines; c) not used in SOC for children or adults with SLE (defined as: GC, non-biologic disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (nbDMARD) including hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, methotrexate, azathioprine, mycophenolate, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporin, voclosporin, and tacrolimus and biologic DMARDs (bDMARD) including belimumab, rituximab, obinutuzumab, anifrolumab); d) inability to discontinue oral GC or achieve prednisone-equivalent dose < 7.5 mg/day at 6, 12, 24, and 36 months after diagnosis; e) inability to achieve lupus low disease activity state (LLDAS) at the same timepoints.
