L-ASPARAGINASE ALTERS REDOX HOMEOSTASIS IN ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA (EHA 2025) - May 16, 2025 - Abstract #PS1347; Pres time: Jun 14, 2025; 06:30 PM - 07:30 PM; Location: Poster Hall; "These results were recapitulated using treatment with erastin, a CC transporter inhibitor. We employed state-of-the-art technology, SIT to investigate metabolic changes following CC depletion and ASNase treatment in ALL cells... We have shown that cystine depletion which functionally resembles low expression of the cystine transporter, enables the activation of rescue mechanisms of ALL cells after ASNase treatment. This study highlights redox homeostasis as one of the key players of chemoresistance and enhances our understanding of leukemia cell behavior."
