These findings emphasize the significance of hepatocyte-macrophage crosstalk as a critical pathway for PFOS-induced liver injury in mice while highlighting SAP130 as a pivotal regulator of ferroptosis and inflammation, thereby elucidating the potential mechanism of PFOS-induced liver injury."
