Conclusions Reduced levels of ferulic acid and 3-hydroxybenzoic acid, two metabolites potentially involved in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, were observed in the high-fat coffee group, suggesting that dietary cream influences microbiota-associated chlorogenic acid metabolism."
