Cryptogenic organising pneumonia in a paediatric kidney transplant recipient (TTS 2026) - Sep 17, 2026 - Abstract #P1.048; Pres time: Sep 21, 2026; 04:45 PM - 06:00 PM; Location: Hall 1-2; P1; "He had progressive transplant glomerulopathy (baseline creatinine 350 umol/L, eGFR 19 ml/min/1.73m2), and chronic antibody-mediated rejection treated with plasma exchange, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and rituximab five years prior to presentation. He had been on regular tocilizumab for the past five years, as well as tacrolimus, mycophenolate and prednisolone...He was commenced on sirolimus for suspected immune dysregulation, plus a further pulse of methylprednisolone followed by high-dose oral steroids, and further IVIG... COP is rare post-kidney transplant. Diagnosis is challenging, requiring lung biopsy. Our patient, despite an unusually severe disease course, made a full respiratory recovery with high-dose steroids and IVIG."
