Forty-one (41%) pts were on azathioprine and 24 (24%) on mycophenolate maintenance therapy. Twenty-one (21%) pts required third-line therapies (tacrolimus n = 17, cyclosporin n = 2, sirolimus = 1, rituximab n = 1) and three (3%) were on ursodeoxycholic acid... As AIH-2 is so rare, limited adult data is available. In our large cohort study, we observe a more severe disease phenotype in adult-onset disease and high corticosteroid dependence in the entire cohort. These distinctions, identified by serologic classification, are important for guiding patient care."
